The Rhos Herald       Saturday, May 7  1921

Died of Pneumonia  –  It is with deep regret we understand, just as going to press, of the death of Mr John Lewis (late of Wrexham) at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Mrs and Mr Elias Jones, headmaster of Rhos National School, which took place this morning. He was 67 years of age. He came to visit his daughter some time ago, and whilst here contracted pneumonia. He was ill for about a fortnight. Mr Lewis was of a kindly disposition, and highly respected by all who knew him. Much sympathy is expressed with the family in their sad bereavement.
